Chelsea's unbeaten run in the Premier League was extended to eight games but their momentum was halted as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Everton at Stamford Bridge.
Cole Palmer gave the Blues the lead with a superb hat-trick in the first half, but Everton hit back after the break through Anthony Gordon and Demarai Gray.
The result leaves Chelsea ninth in the table, four points adrift of Tottenham in fourth.
