US Women's Gymnastics Roster Set for Tokyo Olympics
Meet the Six Women Who Will Represent the United States
Team USA is Undeniably the Country to Beat in Tokyo
Women have dominated international gymnastics for the last decade-plus. And with the 2021 Tokyo Olympics just around the corner, the world is eagerly awaiting to see who will come out on top. Now, we finally know the six women who will represent the United States in the gymnastics competition. And it's no surprise that Team USA is undeniably the country to beat.
The US women's gymnastics team has won the gold medal in the team competition at the last two Olympics. And they're looking to make it three in a row in Tokyo. The team is led by Simone Biles, who is widely considered to be the greatest gymnast of all time. Biles has won 32 Olympic and World Championship medals, including four Olympic gold medals. She is the first woman to win three consecutive World all-around titles.
But Biles isn't the only American gymnast who is a threat to win a medal in Tokyo. The team also includes Sunisa Lee, who won the silver medal in the all-around at the 2019 World Championships. Jordan Chiles, who won the bronze medal in the all-around at the 2018 World Championships. Grace McCallum, who won the silver medal on the balance beam at the 2019 World Championships. MyKayla Skinner, who was a member of the 2016 Olympic team. And Jade Carey, who won the gold medal in the all-around at the 2021 US Championships.
